The Self-Portrait Project will be on Capitol Hill in D.C. this Friday, January 24, in support of housing rights in Haiti.  

The event is co-sponsored by Amnesty International & Congresswoman Barbara Lee, and will feature a panel of inspirational human rights defenders, as well as a screening of Jon Bougher’s documentary about the housing crisis in Haiti, “Mozayik”.

Amnesty International’s Human Right to Housing Conference Postponed

Unfortunately, the right to housing event tonight at the U.S. Capitol has been postponed due to beautiful snow.  Stay tuned for details about rescheduling.

The Self-Portrait Project will be at the U.S. Capitol in D.C. tomorrow from 6-8pm. We’ll be presenting a selection of Self-Portraits from our recent trip to Haiti encampments - where over 280,000 citizens still live, homeless after the earthquake - and will be supporting Jon Bougher’s “Mozayik” documentary screening. Human rights defenders Patrice Florvilus, Shana Griffin, and Khalil Shahyd will be speaking. The event is co-sponsored by Congresswoman Barbara Lee, and Amnesty International.
